Diego Nogales and Mickaël D'Amore complete Davide Ancelotti’s coaching staff at LOSC.

According to L'Équipe, Davide Ancelotti will not attend the players’ return on Monday at Domaine de Luchin, as he continues with Brazil at the World Cup as his father Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant. Lille’s squad are scheduled to resume pre-season that day.

His staff has taken shape in recent weeks and has already settled at the club’s base. Luis Tevenet, 52, and Andy Mangan, 39, who worked with him at Botafogo, have joined, and Rémy Vercoutre, 46, has been appointed goalkeeping coach in place of Nicolas Dehon.

The group is rounded off by Spaniard Diego Nogales, 44, previously Raul’s right-hand man with Real Madrid’s youth teams from 2016-2020, and Frenchman Mickaël D'Amore, 53, who led Paris FC’s reserves last season after a spell on Reims’ staff. Nogales will focus on set pieces, an area where LOSC struggled last season.

Benoît Delaval also returns to Lille, which he left in 2018, as Director of Performance. He has recently held the same role at RC Lens and Nice.
