Diego Simeone gave his son Giuliano his La Liga debut for Atlético Madrid on Wednesday night in the club’s 0-0 draw at home to relegation-threatened Granada.
“I thought of him as being a footballer,” Simeone said post-match.

“We had one more option [on the bench] as a striker. He showed in a few minutes that he has a lot of intensity, aggressiveness.”
The 19-year-old, who plays as a striker, is Simeone’s youngest son.
