Atlético Madrid head coach Diego Simeone has admitted that he can see himself taking his place on the bench at Serie A giants Inter Milan down the line.
This of course comes ahead of the Rojiblancos locking horns with Inter tomorrow evening.
Atlético are primed to kick their European campaign back into gear in 24 hours’ time, when they welcome last season’s finalists to Spain’s capital for a Champions League clash.
On Monday, Simeone therefore took his place in front of the media for his pre-match press conference.
Inter Milan are known to hold a special place in the heart of the Argentine, after he spent two years lining out in their colours between 1997 and 1999.
So much so that, when drawn on the subject this evening, Simeone admitted that he could see himself taking up the managerial reins at San Siro at some point in the future:
“It doesn’t depend on just me, but in my coaching career I can imagine myself managing Inter one day. I think it will happen one day.”
