Corinthians midfielder Dieguinho, 18, the number 61, is emerging in the first team under Fernando Diniz in 2026. In an interview he discussed his first senior goal, inspirations and long-term ambitions.

"I will go with the first. The first is the one that sticks, it reminds you of the journey to the professional game. So I will choose the goal against Capivariano," he told Zero a Zero.

His first professional goal came in the Campeonato Paulista against Capivariano. He replaced Kaio César after 15 minutes and scored nine minutes into the second half at Neo Química Arena from a Matheus Bidu pass to open the scoring. Gui Negão and Kayke also netted.

"My idol who has already stopped playing is Ronaldinho. I really like his style, the joy with which he played. Of the current players, the ones I like most are Messi and Yamal."

"Against Cuiabano. He is very strong physically, so it was a tough duel there. But I managed to do well."

The meeting came on 30 November last year in round 36 of the Brasileirão, a 2-2 draw with Botafogo. Dieguinho assisted Raniele for the opener and the full-back equalised.

"One has already been accomplished, playing at Neo Química Arena and winning titles. I won the Copa do Brasil and the Supercopa. Now my aim is, like every player, to go to Europe and reach the Brazil national team."

He now prepares for Thursday’s match against Remo, the 19th round of the Brasileirão, at 19:30 at Neo Química Arena.
