According to Daily Echo, Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb are among the clubs exploring a move for Southampton goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu.

The 24-year-old's deal expires at season's end, and his four-year stay at St Mary's is likely to finish early with a move away.

He has made 97 appearances since joining from Manchester City in 2022, spending two seasons as first choice. The last two campaigns have been injury-hit, and loans at Standard Liege and Stoke City were unsuccessful.

Dinamo, who also won their national cup last season, are discussing a potential deal with Southampton for the Republic of Ireland international. Other clubs are interested, with Bazunu seeking a new opportunity after losing favour following Daniel Peretz's arrival.

The 22-cap keeper reported back for pre-season but has not played in friendlies or competitive matches, with back-up George Long preferred.

With his contract up in less than 12 months, it is unclear what fee Southampton could recoup this summer. The club want to reduce their wage bill and streamline the goalkeeping group, and could include clauses to benefit from future transfers.

Southampton are also looking to move on Aaron Ramsdale, plus defender Yuki Sugawara and striker Damion Downs before the one September deadline. They are open to interest in forwards Cam Archer and Ben Brereton Diaz, although both have featured under head coach Tonda Eckert.
