Dino Toppmöller, successor to Pierre Sage at Lens, says he fears nothing

Dino Toppmöller has given his first interview since taking charge at RC Lens and said he fears nothing. According to L'Équipe, he chose the outlet for that debut sit-down.

On Thursday morning he cut a fiery figure at the Luigi and Silvio Berlusconi centre in Monza.

At one drill his roar of "fucking counter-pressing" carried some 200 metres. He also drove his forwards hard in a finishing exercise.

He even marked a goal with Cristiano Ronaldo’s "Siuuu" celebration. An hour later he was calm again at the team hotel.

Now 45, the German is less concerned by the weight of succeeding Pierre Sage than by continuing to develop Lens’s talent.
