Benfica have lodged an official bid for Corinthians midfielder André, his representative Diogo Silva has said.
According to Glorioso 1904, Diogo Silva said: "The only official proposal we received was from Benfica. An offer of 12 million euros guaranteed and 3 million in add-ons."
In recent hours the midfielder has been linked with Milan in a deal worth around 15 million euros plus 2 million for 70% of his rights. There was said to be a late refusal by president Osmar Stábile after coach Dorval Júnior expressed reservations.
An academy graduate, André stepped up to the first team last season and has been establishing himself in midfield. He has been used as a defensive midfielder or in a deeper central role.
In the 2026 campaign he has made 12 appearances for Corinthians, eight in the Campeonato Paulista, three in the Brasileirão and one in the Supercopa do Brasil. He has played 913 minutes and scored two goals.
