Three goal involvements in January

Yan Diomande picked up where he left off in the new year, providing two assists in the 3-0 win against Heidenheim, before scoring himself in a 1-1 draw at FC St. Pauli. The youngster is now looking to win consecutive Rookie of the Month awards, having previously picked up the award in December. The winger has had a hand in an impressive 11 goals in 19 Bundesliga games so far (7 goals, 4 assists).

Also up for the award are Luka Vušković (Hamburger SV) and Jarell Quansah (Bayer 04 Leverkusen).

Opening the scoring in style

As for Ridle Baku, his well-taken goal to open the scoring against 1. FC Heidenheim put RBL on the path to victory. The full-back cut inside and unleashed a thunderous left-footed strike to put RBL 1-0 up.

This opened the floodgates, as goals from Antonio Nusa and David Raum saw the visitors open up a 3-0 lead inside just eight minutes in the second half. Baku's goal has now been nominated for Goal of the Month

Voting for both ROTM and GOTM will run until Thursday, 5th February at 23:59 CET.
