Disney+ has landed first-run rights to The Bridge, the talk show hosted by Real Madrid midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni alongside Sandy Héribert.

According to L'Équipe, the platform has agreed a deal with ESN, the agency behind the programme, granting a one-week exclusive window on Disney+ before episodes go free on YouTube. The outlet adds that ESN head Jonathan Kebe confirmed the arrangement at Africa Day 2026 at Sciences Po Paris, while a platform announcement is still awaited.

After moving into live sport with the women’s Champions League, La Liga and Formula E, Disney+ is now targeting sport-led shows.

Launched in 2024, The Bridge brings together guests from across culture and sport. Recent editions on YouTube featured Kylian Mbappé, Malik Bentalha, Medhi Benatia, Soprano, Paul Pogba and Aya Nakamura.

In the UK, Disney+ has bought the rights to the filmed podcast The Overlap for several million pounds. That package includes Sitck to football, fronted by Gary Neville, plus a new show, Stick to United, with Wayne Rooney.

Netflix has also launched its own filmed podcast, Rest is football, with Gary Lineker fronting the show.
