Djaoui Cissé - Stade Renais
Stade Rennais officially announced this Friday, September 26, the contract extension of Djaoui Cissé. The 21-year-old, who was already committed until 2029, has added another year to his stay at Roazhon Park.
The Stade Rennais leadership has moved to secure Djaoui Cissé’s future. Although he was already under contract until 2029, the midfielder has extended his deal to further cement his role in Habib Beye’s squad. During the summer transfer window, several European clubs—most notably West Ham—sought to secure his services. However, the Stade Rennais decision-makers kept the door firmly shut, opting instead to lock down their homegrown talents from La Piverdière.
Djaoui Cissé now joins Jérémy Jacquet and Kader Meïté among the club’s long-term assets. Since the start of the season, he has featured in four Ligue 1 matches. He has yet to find the back of the net or provide an assist.
