Trailing 2-0 after two first-half Lens goals on Friday night, Nice reduced the deficit to 2-1 just before the break through Djibril Coulibaly, who became the youngest scorer in a Coupe de France final this century.
L'Équipe reports that the moment capped a breakthrough night for the teenager.
Florian Thauvin opened the scoring, then at 42 Odsonne Édouard headed in from a Thauvin corner.
Handed a start by Claude Puel for the final, Coulibaly met a Jonathan Clauss corner with a header at 45+3.
Before this final he had made two Ligue 1 outings, at Angers in mid-March and at Lille in mid-April, totalling 13 minutes for Nice.
He also played a half in the Europa League against Ludogorets at the end of January, and at 17 years and 185 days he is the youngest player to appear in a Coupe de France final this century.
