The DNCG has lifted the stay issued on two December, but Girondins de Bordeaux remain under wage bill restrictions. According to L'Équipe, the limit is around €1.2m for the 2025-2026 season.

At their mid-season hearing on two December, the financial watchdog imposed a stay. It sought within two weeks a statutory auditor’s certificate for 2024-2025.

That document was sent early this week to the federal commission overseeing clubs. The decision followed swiftly, keeping only the wage bill under control.

Bordeaux’s next appearance before the DNCG is due in June 2026.

Before then, the accounts will be presented by the end of the year to Maîtres Franck Michel and Maxime Lebreton, commissioners for the execution of the continuation plan approved on 24 June by the chamber of counsel of the Bordeaux commercial court.

That plan reduced the club’s debt from €94m to €26m.
