Hull City attacker Dogukan Sinik has promised his sides supporters that his side will work harder in their quest to drag themselves up the table, taking to Twitter to address the Tigers’ fanbase.
The 23-year-old has been unable to make a real impact at the MKM Stadium since his arrival in the summer because of an injury – but made his debut against Luton Town on Friday evening and will be keen to impress a new manager.
Owner Acun Ilicali is hoping to name a successor for Shota Arveladze by Wednesday when they face Wigan Athletic – and the Turkish winger could potentially be in line for a start following his cameo against the Hatters.

The new manager will need to come in and shake things up following the Tigers’ poor start to the season, with their struggles coming as a real surprise to many following a busy summer transfer window.
Currently sitting in 20th place and just one point above the drop zone, they are at real risk of falling into the relegation zone in the coming weeks with the likes of Middlesbrough and West Bromwich Albion having the potential to improve their form considering the players they have at their disposal.
Sinik is one man who’s confident his side will succeed though, as he issued a message to supporters to celebrate his first appearance for the East Yorkshire outfit.
Yesterday evening, he posted on Twitter: “I am very happy and proud of [my] debut for Hull City. It was very exciting for me to meet with you and went on the pitch after eight weeks. We will work harder and be better. We will succeed together.”
The Verdict:
It’s difficult to be too harsh on the Tigers because they are a new squad and it will take a considerable amount of time for the players to adapt to life at the MKM Stadium.
However, their performance levels have to be better, with their display against Swansea City simply not cutting it with unforced errors creeping into play.
These errors and their defending are two key reasons why they can’t complain about their current position at this stage, even with Oscar Estupinan producing the goods at the other end of the pitch.
It was clear that a managerial change was needed – and the fact Ilicali waited until the morning of their game against Luton to sack him is another reason why you have to feel a little bit sorry for the players.
The squad does have real depth and quality when most players are fit though, so there are no real excuses not to be pushing for at least a top-half finish this season, even with Keane Lewis-Potter leaving for Brentford.
