Liverpool are closing to agreeing terms with Dominik Szoboszlai over a new long-term contract according to reports.
The Hungarian still has two years left on his current deal with the Reds after initially joining the club from RB Leipzig for a reported £60 million in the summer of 2023.
Since his arrival, Szoboszlai has been one of Liverpool's outstanding talents, scoring 28 goals and making 24 assists in 147 games for the Merseyside club.
The 25-year-old still has two years left on his current contract but according to journalist James Pearce of The Athletic, there is an agreement for a new 'long-term' deal.
The news will be a boost for Andoni Iraola as well as Liverpool fans with the club currently having a relatively low key summer – especially compared to last year. Víctor Muñoz is the only transfer agreed in this transfer window with the deals for both Jérémy Jacquet and Ifeanyi Ndukwe having been completed earlier in the year.
