Donald Trump appeared on the podium as Spain lifted the World Cup at MetLife Stadium on Sunday, after their 1-0 extra-time win over Argentina.
According to L'Équipe, the United States president stood on stage near the Spain squad with his friend, FIFA president Gianni Infantino, as Rodri raised the trophy and confetti fell.

Trump had taken up a position to the left of La Roja’s players and applauded the new champions alongside Infantino.
He then stepped aside, allowing Spain to continue their celebrations.
The scene echoed a previous moment after Chelsea won the Club World Cup.
