New City signing Gianluigi Donnarumma was Italy's captain during their 5-0 victory over Estonia on Friday night.

The 26-year-old joined City from Paris Saint-Germain earlier this week but has immediately had to focus on international commitments before meeting his new team-mates.

His week continued in fine fettle in Bergamo as his Italy side ran out comfortable winners over their visitors.

In truth, he was a spectator for much of the game as Gennaro Gattuso's team had 40 shots with Moise Kean, Giacomo Raspadori, Alessandro Bastoni and a Mateo Retegui brace proving the difference.

Our new goalkeeper had to face just two shots on target throughout the 90 minutes.

The result leaves Italy with six points from three matches in their World Cup qualifying group, with Norway on 12 points and Israel on nine having both played four times.

Italy have the chance to close that gap on Monday when they face Israel at 19:45 in Hungary.

We’ll have recaps of every international involving a City player during this window on mancity.com and our official app.
