Dortmund chief coins Newcastle-linked Nmecha departure as "extremely unlikely" | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund sporting director Ole Book has dismissed any notions of Felix Nmecha leaving the club this summer. 

“I would consider a transfer extremely unlikely,” local news outlet Ruhr Nachrichten quoted Dortmund chief Book as saying.

"Of course, astronomical sums can theoretically always be involved, but I can pretty much rule that out for Felix Nmecha this summer," he said.

While the news is a considerable boost for BVB, it will come as an almighty blow to interested parties such as Newcastle United.

Nmecha was seemingly regarded as the Magpies' preferred replacement for Bruno Guimarães who is set to join Arsenal. 

As it stands, however, Dortmund's asking price for the athletic midfielder is reportedly fixed at an eye-watering €120million.

Nmecha does, however, have a release clause allowing him to leave for €80million in 2027, and a year later his price will be €70million.
