According to Ruhr Nachrichten, Borussia Dortmund sporting director Ole Book has played down the prospect of Felix Nmecha leaving this summer, calling a transfer extremely unlikely.

He acknowledged that vast fees can always arise in theory, yet indicated a sale in this window can be ruled out.

The stance is a setback for Newcastle United, who seemingly viewed Nmecha as their preferred replacement for Bruno Guimaraes, set to join Arsenal.

Dortmund’s asking price is reportedly set at 120 million, and any offer would need to exceed that figure to test their resolve.

Nmecha has a release clause of 80 million in 2027, dropping to 70 million in 2028.
