18 years ago, a simple yet ambitious idea was born: to take the passion for FC Porto, for sport, and for football even further, with the high standards of training and the values that set our Club apart.
On 6 September 2008, at Campo da Constituição, history was made with the opening of the first Dragon Force Football School. The project began with around 400 students and a clearly defined mission: to train athletes, but also to help shape people. That spirit remains alive every day.
Today, Dragon Force has 50 schools, ten of them international, spread across four continents. In Portugal, more than 5,000 girls and boys are involved in the project, 3,000 of whom already compete and train in various regions of the country. Internationally, the brand is present in Brazil, Mexico, Cyprus, Turkey, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Cape Verde, and India.
This is a project that creates opportunities, develops talent, and helps each young person grow, both in football and in life. The recent opening of new academies shows the strength of a brand that continues to grow without giving up its identity.
By the end of 2026, Dragon Force is expected to surpass 10,000 students. The ambition remains unchanged: to reach 60 schools in Portugal and 40 internationally by 2030.
This journey is only possible thanks to the daily commitment of coaches, coordinators, staff, and partners, as well as the support of families. To all of you, I offer a word of deep appreciation and the assurance of my continued support. I would also like to highlight the work of Ricardo Ramos, who has been part of this project since its creation.
Congratulations, Dragon Force. In all of you, I see the future of the Club we all love.
