Birmingham City beat Coventry City 3-2 at St Andrew's on Sunday to rise from 17th to 13th in the Championship, flooring the leaders after Marvin Ducksch's double.

In the sixth minute, Marvin Ducksch swept in Kai Wagner's cross to put the hosts ahead.

Josh Eccles quickly levelled for Coventry City (8.) with a low strike from outside the box after Ephron Mason-Clark's pass, but Lewis Koumas restored the lead (17.) from Patrick Roberts' through ball.

After the restart, Ellis Reco Simms equalised (60.) from Jack Rudoni's pass, only for Ducksch to finish again three minutes later (63.) from Roberts' second assist.

Carl Rushworth kept Coventry City in it in the third minute of second half stoppage time, saving Kyogo Furuhashi's effort after Kanya Fujimoto's pass. Bobby Thomas was sent off in the fifth minute of second half stoppage time.

Birmingham registered nine attempts with four on target and 25.1% possession. Coventry City produced 17 attempts, six on target, and held 74.9% of the ball.

Next, Birmingham visit Cambridge United in the FA Cup. Coventry City travel to Stoke City in the FA Cup.
