According to a report from L’Équipe, FC Kaiserslautern have tested the waters for USL Dunkerque’s Naatan Skyttä (23) with an opening bid of €700,000. However, Les Maritimes have rejected the approach for one of last season’s key players.
It was an almost banner year for the Ligue 2 side as they reached the Coupe de France semi-finals, where they were eliminated by winners Paris Saint-Germain, and also reached the Ligue 2 playoffs, where they were eliminated by FC Metz. Despite falling short of glory on both occasions, it was an incredible season for a club punching above their weight.
Skyttä, who only arrived last summer from FC Toulouse, was a key part of this, making 36 appearances across all competitions, scoring eight and assisting five. There is perhaps pressure on Dunkerque to sell this summer, with the Finnish youth international entering the final year of his contract.
