AZ Alkmaar sensation Kees Smit would be more than keen to make the move to Spain with Real Madrid this summer.

That’s according to Diario AS, who have on Monday provided an insight into the situation.

Midfielder Smit has for his part seen his name emerge as an increasingly prominent one in the headlines in Spain’s capital over recent days.

This comes with the 19-year-old understood to be attracting serious transfer interest on the part of the aforementioned Real Madrid.

Smit is fresh off clinching Player of the Tournament honours at the U19 European Championships, with his performances along the way having not gone unnoticed on the part of those behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu.

So much so that Los Blancos are said to have ‘stepped up’ their efforts to bring the starlet in from AZ Alkmaar.

And safe to say, Smit himself is keen on the prospect of a Real switch.
