Claudio Ranieri still doesn’t know whether he’ll be able to rely on Paulo Dybala in his first match in charge of Roma since returning to the club for the third time.
The Giallorossi travel away to Serie A leaders Napoli on Sunday, and the former Leicester manager has gradually been getting familiar with his new players in the last days’ training sessions before deciding his first starting XI, but he may not have a full squad at disposal.

While former Borussia Dortmund defender Matt Hummels was back to full training after having being sidelined with fever in recent days, Tuttomercatoweb reported that Paulo Dybala still carried out personalised work in Thursday’s session at Trigoria.

The Argentinian played his last game for Roma on 3 November, as he came on in the second half of the Giallorossi’s 3-2 defeat at Verona. He then remained on the bench against Union Saint-Gilloise in the Europa League and was controversially ruled out by Ivan Juric of his side’s squad for their game against Bologna.
Dybala scored two Serie A goals in nine appearances this season, with the first of them coming from the penalty spot.
