EA Sports FC 27 has revealed Kylian Mbappe as its latest cover star ahead of the latest release in the franchise.

The video game franchise has dominated the landscape for decades and has now unveiled one of the world’s top talents as their cover star for the 2027 edition.

The gameplay trailer for the latest game will be released on Thursday 23rd July, as anticipation builds for the release. It’s expected to be released in late September.

Mbappe has been unveiled as the cover star following a summer that saw the French forward win the 2026 World Cup Golden Boot and become the tournament’s all-time leading scorer in North America.

The Real Madrid superstar said it’s a ‘very special’ moment to be recognised on the worldwide brand.

“To be featured on the cover of an EA Sports FC title for the first time is a very special moment for me. It’s an honour to continue my long-term relationship with the franchise in its latest chapter, alongside the players who have shaped its history. I can’t wait for everyone to experience FC 27.”

EA Sports FC 27 release date: When will the game come out?

EA Sports are yet to announce the official date for the game’s release. However, past editions have often been released on the final Friday of September. That would predict EA Sports 27 is due for release on September 25th.
