Hearts introduced JJ Williams at the break and Scott Bain denied the substitute with a save down the middle (55.) as the visitors pressed.

Owen Eames restored The Bairns' lead with a right footed finish into the bottom left (68.). CJ Fodrey had earlier replaced Krauhaus because of injury (57.), and Ethan Ross hit the right post late on (90.).

The Bairns registered 13 attempts, four on target. Hearts controlled 58.7% possession and produced nine attempts. McPake tops the Premiership assists chart with four this season.

Next, The Bairns visit St Johnstone. Hearts travel to Kilmarnock.
