Eberechi Eze (27) is set to miss a significant period of Arsenal’s end of season run in, with early indications suggesting the midfielder could be sidelined for up to a month, according to reports from BBC Sport.

The 27-year-old sustained a calf injury during Arsenal’s recent victory over Bayer Leverkusen, forcing him to miss the Carabao Cup final defeat to Manchester City and withdraw from the latest England squad. Initial assessments point to a lay-off of between four and six weeks, although manager Mikel Arteta has confirmed a scan will determine the full extent of the damage.

Eze’s absence comes at a pivotal moment in Arsenal’s campaign, with the club competing across the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup.

There is, however, some encouragement for Arsenal. Club captain Martin Odegaard is nearing a return from injury and could be available following the international break, offering a timely boost in midfield.
