Der Rekordmeister head into the winter break unbeaten at the top of the Bundesliga, and while major incomings are off the agenda, FC Bayern sporting director Max Eberl insists that the club will not be completely inactive over the festive period.

Speaking to Sport1, the 52-year-old acknowledged that departures cannot be entirely ruled out.

“There can always be a player who feels a little less satisfied and, when the injured players return, decides they want to do something else,” Eberl explained.

One player who could be allowed to leave if the right offer arrives is right-back Sacha Boey. The 25-year-old has struggled for minutes in Munich, and reports from The Standard suggest that Premier League outfit Crystal Palace are interested in bringing in the full-back.

While potential exits remain a possibility, Bayern's main focus is on extending key contracts. Several deals are approaching their expiry dates, including those of centre-back Dayot Upamecano and forward Serge Gnabry

“There are extensions we want to complete, and those are well known,” said Eberl, who hinted that supporters could be treated to some positive news over Christmas. "Maybe there will be a pleasant phone call before Christmas. I don't know, but sometimes you do get surprised.

Bayern are in firm control at the top of the Bundesliga, and contract renewals appear to be the goal set over the coming break.
