Fiorentina’s season so far has been disastrous: zero wins and last place in the league, with the threat of relegation increasingly looming.

No one on the banks of the Arno expected such a complicated season, especially after last year’s sixth-place finish and the arrival of experienced players like Dzeko.

The Bosnian himself has never found much playing time, scoring just two goals in 652 minutes.

For this reason, Dzeko and Fiorentina could part ways as early as January.

And Dzeko could be reunited with De Rossi, this time on the bench. In fact, as Tuttosport reports, the Genoa manager is reportedly pushing to bring the striker to Liguria.

The bond between Dzeko and De Rossi is incredibly strong, spanning 10 years. It’s a friendship that has also connected their families.

The two have known each other since 2015, when Dzeko joined Roma, and remained teammates until 2019, the year the coach retired. It was the Bosnian who took the captain’s armband the following season.
