Edin Dzeko will end his Bosnia and Herzegovina career in early October, signing off against Sweden in the Nations League on two October at 20:45.

A senior international since 2007, the 40-year-old has 151 caps and 73 goals, both Bosnia and Herzegovina records.

During that time he helped the team reach two World Cups, in 2014, the nation’s first, and in 2026, when they advanced to the last 32.

Dzeko remains with Schalke, newly promoted to the Bundesliga. Bosnia and Herzegovina compete in League B, group 4 with Poland, Romania and Sweden.
