Egyptian Premier League: Al Ahly stumble against National Bank

In the opening match of the seventeenth round of the Egyptian Premier League, giants Al Ahly were held to a 1-1 draw by National Bank on February 3.

Al Ahly continue to drop points. In an away fixture against National Bank, the Egyptian league champions faced a resolute defensive wall from the hosts.

The home side struck first in the 11th minute through Mostafa Shalaby. Fans had to wait until the 80th minute for veteran Mahmoud Trezeguet to level the score.

This marks Al Ahly’s third draw in their last four league matches. The African Club of the Century now sits on 27 points and could lose their third place in the standings if Zamalek win tomorrow against Ismaily.
