Leicester City’s rebuild is expected to be under way after finishing in the Championship relegation places, with exits for Ricardo Pereira, Jordan Ayew, Patson Daka and Jamaal Lascelles confirmed.
According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, loans will be explored when the window opens on June 15, but free agents could accelerate the overhaul.
Conor Chaplin has left Ipswich Town after 48 League One goals, and can play No 10 or striker.
Max Lowe has been linked and remains in talks with Sheffield Wednesday. Comfortable at left-back, he would add competition.
Midfield needs work, with Harry Winks not expected to stay, Oliver Skipp likely to seek football above League One and Jordan James gone. Dan Barlaser, 29, spent last season at Hibernian before his Middlesbrough deal expired.
Oxford United’s Myles Peart-Harris is a free agent after an impressive spell despite relegation. The 23-year-old offers presence and a dangerous long throw.
Lyndon Dykes is heading to the World Cup without a club, having yet to agree terms with Charlton. He has 37 goals for QPR in 165 games.
Callum Elder, 31, left in 2019 without a senior appearance after loans at Mansfield, Peterborough, Brentford, Barnsley and Wigan Athletic. Consistent at Hull and Derby, he is unattached.
Cardiff City’s Ryan Wintle, 28, made 40 League One appearances and is a free agent, saying the decision was out of his control.
Archie Collins is available after a standout season with Peterborough. Linked with City and Lincoln City, he won three awards, though Championship interest could follow.
