Tottenham have dismissed head coach Thomas Frank after poor run left the club 16th in the Premier League table.

Spurs end Frank’s short spell

Tottenham Hotspur have announced the dismissal of head coach Thomas Frank, just eight month after his appointment in the summer of 2025.

The decision followed run of eight consecutive matches without win in domestic competitions capped by 2-1 home defeat to Newcastle United in round 26 of the Premier League on Tuesday.

In official statement published on Wednesday via the club’s account on X, Tottenham said they had been determined to give Frank time and support.

However results and performances forced the board to conclude that change was necessary at this stage of the season.

Record and League position

Frank 53 managed Tottenham in 26 Premier League match recording seven win, eight draw and eleven defeats.

The poor run has left Spurs in 16th place with 29 point, dangerously close to the relegation zone.

The club thanked Frank for his commitment and effort during his time in charge and wished him success in the future.

More managerial changes in England

Tottenham’s decision adds to growing list of managerial changes in the Premier League this season.

Nottingham Forest parted ways with Nuno Espirito Santo & Ange Postecoglou while West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers also changed managers earlier in the campaign.

The pressure now shifts to Tottenham’s board as they search for a new coach who can stabilize results and steer the club away from danger.

A season below expectations

Tottenham began the season with high hopes under Frank but inconsistent performances and defensive struggles hurt their campaign.

The loss to Newcastle proved to be the final turning point.
