Wolves’ hierarchy faced more than 90 minutes of questions from over 250 supporters at Molineux, with recruitment and ownership links under scrutiny at the first fans’ forum.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, chairman Nathan Shi, technical director Matt Jackson and head coach Rob Edwards took questions.

Nathan Shi said former chairman Jeff Shi has no involvement at Wolves and that all decisions are his.

Jackson agreed leadership, wingers and forwards are needed, and said summer signings must be English qualifying or meet work permit points. Edwards is speaking to five or six players to keep them and will not over persuade, which drew applause.

A heated moment saw one fan attack the players’ pride, Jackson disagreed and unrest followed before calm returned. Another supporter said he felt disconnected and disillusioned.

Shi criticised the previous regime and said Fosun must learn, aiming to stop wolves being a stepping stone. He said the group is committed and targeting automatic promotion, but would not discuss finances or next season’s budget. Jackson said parachute payments should make Wolves competitive.

Shi called a Molineux revamp a long-term ambition amid council talks, though small upgrades could come sooner, and he will reconsider the liquidator after hearing other views. Jackson defended the academy, saying rules let bigger clubs take youngsters, and admitted selling Morgan Gibbs-White was a mistake. No one asked Shi whether Edwards will stay next season, and after a supporter’s rant about three wins, Edwards replied, "thanks, I appreciate the feedback", before accepting the lack of wins.
