BK Häcken are through to the final of the inaugural UEFA Women’s Europa Cup final after a 3-1 aggregate win over Eintracht Frankfurt. The Frauen-Bundesliga side won the return leg in Gothenburg, but the 3-0 deficit from the first leg was too much to reverse.

Nicole Anyomi scored the only goal of Thursday’s game with a brilliant strike after Marthane Østenstad’s free-kick from Frankfurt’s own half. Niko Arnautis used the same lineup from last week’s game, but they created plenty of chances on the artificial turf, unlike the dull display at Stadion am Brentanobad.

With Hammarby IF’s 5-2 win over Sparta Prague in aggregate in the other semis, the first-ever UEFA Women’s Europa League final will now be contested between two Swedish sides. It will also be a two-legged affair as Eintracht Frankfurt would have had a home advantage for the second leg had they progressed.
