Eintracht Frankfurt sign Lilian Brassier | OneFootball

The 26-year-old defender moves to Frankfurt from Stade Rennais Football Club, signing a contract until 2031.

Brassier rose through the youth ranks at Stade Rennais having joined the academy at the age of 13. He made his debut in men’s football as a 17-year-old for the reserve team in the Championnat National 2. He went on loan to then second-tier club Valenciennes FC for the 2019/20 season, where he immediately established himself as a first-team regular. The following year, Brassier moved on loan to Stade Brestois and made his breakthrough in Ligue 1. After signing permanently, he went on to make a total of 117 competitive appearances for the Brittany club, in which he registered five goals and one assist.

He joined Olympique Marseille on loan in summer 2024 and made 12 appearances in the first half of a campaign in which OM finished second in the French top flight. The 26-year-old then returned to former club Stade Rennais in January 2025, where he has made 44 appearances over the last two seasons (one goal, two assists). 

Brassier, who can be deployed in both the centre and on the left side of defence, has played a total of 161 games in Ligue 1, with six goals and three assists to his name. 

The 1.86 metre-tall defender also represented France six times at U19 and U20 level.
