Eintracht Frankfurt are close to appointing a new head coach as they seek a successor to Dino Toppmöller, who was dismissed earlier this month.
According to Sky, board member Axel Hellmann told a members’ meeting on Monday evening that an announcement would come soon and that the process was in its final stages.
Interim pair Dennis Schmitt and Alex Meier will again lead the side for Wednesday’s Champions League match against Tottenham.
The new coach is expected to take charge for Saturday’s Bundesliga game against Bayer Leverkusen.
It remains unclear who will take the job. Reports have linked Alexander Blessin of FC St. Pauli, Kjetil Knutsen of Bodo/Glimt, Marco Rose, who is unattached, and Jacob Neestrup of FC Copenhagen.
