Eintracht Frankfurt’s Can Uzun out indefinitely with new thigh injury | OneFootball

Eintracht Frankfurt have confirmed an injury setback for star attacker Can Uzun. The 20-year-old incurred another thigh muscle injury during Frankfurt’s most recent Bundesliga loss to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.

While Eintracht provided no specifics on how long Uzun will be sidelined, a similar injury earlier this season kept the Turkish international out for over a month. At the very least Uzun will remain unavailable for the next two games.,

Can Uzun was on the comeback trail

Since the turn of the 2026 calendar year, Uzun scored two goals and registered an assist in four appearances across all competitions. The Regensburg-native looked like his old self for first time since his scorching start to the current campaign. After setting a new club record on opening day, Uzun proceeded to score in six straight fixtures on-the-trot.

Uzun’s form dipped significantly after he scored a goal in Eintracht’s first five Bundesliga matchdays this year. Uzun had to wait quite some time between his fifth goal of the season (September) and his sixth (January). The previous thigh injury kept him sidelined through the entirety of November.
