El Karouani set for Benfica unveiling on 1 September | OneFootball

Benfica are poised to present Souffian El Karouani as a new signing on Tuesday, 1 September. The 25-year-old Morocco international will join the club’s men’s team.

Record writes that the former Utrecht left-back is expected to be made official today. He arrived in Lisbon on Sunday night and completed medical tests.

El Karouani moves on loan from Al Qadisiyah, the club he joined this summer from Utrecht. Adaptation problems led him to seek a new project. Benfica have a 10 million euros option to buy at the end of the season.
