Against Viktoria Plzen, Gian Piero Gasperini once again abandons the false nine experiment and turns to Artem Dovbyk to lead Roma’s attack.

The Ukrainian is looking to redeem himself after his disappointing European performance against Lille and his goalkeeping error against Inter.

Behind him, the Argentine duo of Dybala and Soulé will operate, with El Shaarawy ready to compete for a starting spot.

As reported by Il Messaggero, Bailey will start on the bench, while El Aynaoui is expected to start alongside Koné in midfield.

In defense, Ndicka and Cristante will be rested: Gasperini will entrust the defense to Hermoso, Mancini, and Celik, the latter ahead of Ziolkowski for a starting spot.

On the left, Tsimikas will remain, aiming to regain the coach’s confidence after a period of decline.

Angelino is still unavailable due to injury. On the other side, the runoff between Wesley and Rensch remains open.

Gasperini, in introducing the match, asked his players to be fully focused: no lapses in concentration, because the goal is one: to win and relaunch an attack that has so far shown more shadows than certainties.
