Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson says his focus is on performing for the Reds amid growing summer transfer talk. As Forest, 3-0 up from the first leg, prepare for Thursday's Europa League play-off second leg, he stressed that giving everything to the club remains his priority.
Nottingham Post reports that the England international is attracting attention from Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal and others. A 2024 arrival from Newcastle, he is a key figure.
Speaking before facing Fenerbahce, Anderson said he is concentrating on performing for Forest and that nothing else is on his mind. He reflected on two years of progress, felt he has done well on and off the pitch, and credited the club for helping him mature.
He noted his exit from boyhood club Newcastle was driven by profit and sustainability requirements, calling the move away from home a big step that has worked out well.
Anderson has impressed England manager Thomas Tuchel, who has paired him with Declan Rice, and he appears set to feature as England chase World Cup success this summer. He said he hopes to be a regular but stressed the competition for places and the need to keep delivering in the Premier League and Europa League.
Team-mate Morgan Gibbs-White has also been linked with Manchester United, with head coach Vitor Pereira playing down the noise and stressing daily work. He praised both as leaders with spirit and said the group must prove talent becomes a strong team on the pitch.
