Elye Wahi reaches agreement to join OGC Nice | OneFootball

Elye Wahi (22) is nearing a return to France, just one year after leaving Olympique de Marseille to join Eintracht Frankfurt. 

OGC Nice are in need of attacking reinforcements as they look to pull away from the relegation zone. Terem Moffi has been on sick leave since the incidents outside the club’s training ground at the end of November and he could leave in January, whilst summer signing Kevin Carlos has not lived up to expectations. 

Wahi, who worked with Nice manager Franck Haise at RC Lens, has emerged as a major target. Whilst the Frenchman was initially keen to remain at Eintracht Frankfurt, Foot Mercato now understands that Haise has convinced him to move to the Allianz Riviera for the second half of the season.

The publication adds that there is now an agreement between the player and Nice, who must now find an agreement with the German club in order to secure the loan move.
