Following the injury he sustained while on international duty with Sweden in last Friday’s Sweden vs. Romania match on 25 September, Emil Holm underwent surgery this morning to repair the hamstring tendon in his right thigh.
The procedure was performed in Finland by Professor Lasse Lempainen, in the presence of Bologna FC club doctor Dr Luca Bini. The player will rest at home for a few days before beginning his rehabilitation programme. His expected recovery time is 4-6 months.
