Emily Lima has explained why she left early from a meeting between Corinthians players and president Osmar Stabile at Parque São Jorge, held to address delayed image-rights payments.

According to Meu Timao, players and staff visited the club on Wednesday to press for arrears, and the outlet saw Lima arrive before the talks.

She departed before the group was called to the president’s office. After the 6-2 win over Taubaté at the Fazendinha the next day, she said she had planned to stand with the squad but left after a long wait due to family commitments, and her staff stayed and relayed the meeting’s content.

The club currently owes image rights for June and July, plus unpaid bonuses including the 2025 Libertadores title and runners-up in the Copa das Campeãs and the 2026 Supercopa.

The meeting sought a clear timetable for payment. It concluded with a signed document giving the club 10 days to regularise the arrears, with part due this week and the remainder next week.

Lima said the discussion was respectful and that Stabile acknowledged the delays. 16 players attended, among them: Agustina, Ariel Godoi, Belén Aquino, Duda Mineira, Erika, Gi Fernandes, Gisela Robledo, Ivana Fuso, Lelê, Letícia Monteiro, Leticia Teles, Nicole Ramos, Rillary, Thais Ferreira, Thaís Regina and Vic Albuquerque. Staff members and director Iris Sesso also took part.
