England squad announced as Cole Palmer and Trent Alexander-Arnold return

Thomas Tuchel has named his England squad for the upcoming UEFA Nations League games.

Tuchel's first squad announcement since the 2026World Cup sees Chelsea's Cole Palmer and Real Madrid right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold return after missing the tournament.

Uncapped Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott is also involved, having been invited to the pre-World Cup training camp.

Other notable additions are Arsenal midfielder Myles Lewis-Skelly, Everton centre-back Jarrad Branthwaite, Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha, and Leeds United striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin. There's also a return for Newcastle left-back Lewis Hall.

Elsewhere, there's no place for Saudi Pro League-based forwards Ollie Watkins or Ivan Toney, who both formed part of the 2026 World Cup squad.
