Chelsea have been dealt a potential injury scare after Jamie Gittens was forced off during England U21s game against the Republic of Ireland according to reports.
He was named in the starting line-up along with fellow Chelsea team-mates Josh Acheampong and Tyrique George, who scored in the 2-0 win on Friday night.
Gittens has had a difficult start to life at Stamford Bridge, but has started to show some improvements in recent weeks.
Gittens arrived in the summer from Borussia Dortmund in a deal worth an initial £48m and has made 14 appearances in all competitions.
The 21-year-old was named man of the match against Ajax in the Champions League, and Wolves in the Carabao Cup.
Gittens scored his first goal with a brilliant strike in that Wolves game, whilst he’s also registered three assists so far.

However, Chelsea face a potential injury scare after The Standard reported Gittens limped off against the Republic of Ireland on Friday night.
His involvement ended just after the hour mark, when he tried to evade a tackle, and the winger went straight down the tunnel after being replaced by Fulham’s Josh King.
At this stage there’s no indication of how serious anything is, and whether Gittens will be miss the next game against Slovakia on Tuesday.
With games come thick and fast in the build up to Christmas, Chelsea will hope it was nothing more than a precaution as they need as many players available as possible.
Gittens is competing for a place on the left wing with Alejandro Garnacho, but so far he’s played second fiddle to the Argentine.

Garnacho appears to have the trust of Maresca and has started the last five Premier League games, whilst Gittens has started just two of the first 11 games.
The former Dortmund man will get opportunities with the amount of games, but it’s down to him to make the most of them.
