Full details have been revealed ahead of Manchester City’s 2026 Asia tour, with a trio of matches lined up to prepare for the upcoming season.

For the first time since 2015, someone other than Pep Guardiola will be in the dugout for a City pre-season friendly after Enzo Maresca was finally confirmed as the club’s new manager last week.

Fans are sure to be following all three games closely for clues about the tactical nuances, favoured players and formations they might be able to expect from the post-Pep era.

What could Enzo Maresca’s Manchester City look like?

What will Man City’s 2026-27 pre-season schedule look like?

However, players are likely to return from holiday at staggered times due to international duties at the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will add another layer of challenge to Maresca’s task.

Preparations for the Italian’s first season begin in Hong Kong against his home nation’s champions Inter Milan on Saturday 1 August, with kick-off slated for 12:30 UK.

From there, the squad will travel to Seoul to face K-League All-Stars XI on Wednesday 5 August before a game against familiar opposition Atletico Madrid on Sunday 9 August. Both Seoul matches will kick off at 13:00 UK.

Where will the pre-season games be broadcasted?

All three pre-season matches will be broadcast live on CITY+ in the UK and most foreign territories.

Pre-season comes to a head at Cardiff’s Millennium Stadium on 16 August, as City face Premier League champions Arsenal in the FA Community Shield. City have lifted the Community Shield seven times but only one of those has come in this decade.

Doubtless City’s fringe players and young talents will be eyeing these four games as a chance to play their way into Maresca’s plans before the Premier League gets underway on the following weekend.
