Éric Roy honoured with minute’s applause before Marseille v Strasbourg

A minute’s applause was held at the Vélodrome before Marseille v Strasbourg on Friday evening in memory of Éric Roy, who died two months ago.

According to L'Équipe, the tribute took place just before kick-off, with players and supporters joining in.

Roy served as Brest head coach from 2023 to 2026.

He also spent three seasons at Marseille as a player between 1996 and 1999.

Further tributes are planned throughout the opening weekend of Ligue 1.
