Brest head coach Éric Roy addressed Nantes interest in Romain Del Castillo at his Saturday press conference, on the eve of Brest’s Ligue 1 matchday 17 home game against Auxerre.

According to L'Équipe, Nantes are seeking attacking reinforcements and experienced options, and have identified the Brest wide player as a target.

Roy joked that Del Castillo trained in yellow kit and even wondered aloud about his availability for the match, keeping the mood light.

A departure is not close. Del Castillo turns 30 on 29 March, is Brest’s leading scorer with six goals this season, and is under contract until June 2027. Brest will not let him go at any price.

Roy also noted Nantes sit 17th and trail Brest by eight points, adding that a call from Chelsea or PSG would be another matter.
