According to O Jogo, Estádio Municipal de Rio Maior has sustained weather damage, though the plan remains to stage Casa Pia v FC Porto on Monday in the I Liga.

Miguel Pacheco of Desmor, which runs the complex, said storm conditions caused damage throughout the site. Fallen trees hit perimeter fencing, many panes were smashed and roofs were affected, including at the stadium where floodlighting was also hit. The multi-purpose arena suffered severe damage.

Repairs are already under way to keep the 20th-round fixture on, with Casa Pia playing home matches at the venue.

Activities were suspended today for safety reasons. Even so, the pavilion hosted an under-17 Portugal v France futsal friendly. The situation is due to be reviewed on Thursday.

The Kristin depression left a trail of destruction in Portugal, causing five deaths and displacing several people. Leiria, where the system made landfall, Coimbra, Santarém and Lisbon were among the worst-hit districts.

Fallen trees and structures, road and transport disruption, especially on rail lines, school closures and cuts to power, water and communications were reported. Civil Protection remains on special readiness level 4 along the coast from Viana do Castelo to Setúbal, with red warnings issued on the mainland shoreline.
