Estevao loses ground at Chelsea, Barça and Liverpool keep tabs | OneFootball

Estevao has once again appeared on the radar of several European giants. The 19-year-old Brazilian is going through a different situation at Chelsea after losing prominence following his injury and with the arrival of Xabi Alonso on the London side’s bench.

His situation has once again sparked the interest of clubs such as Barcelona and Liverpool, who remain alert to any change in the forward’s future.

Less prominence under Xabi Alonso

Estevao has not managed to have the expected influence at Chelsea in this new phase. The injury that kept him from taking part in the World Cup also affected his sporting momentum and, later, the change of coach altered his outlook within the team.

According to Football Insider, the Brazilian footballer has no intention of forcing an exit from the ‘blue’ side, so his future will depend to a large extent on how his situation develops over the coming months.

Barcelona and Liverpool, watching closely

The situation has led Barcelona and Liverpool to keep a close eye on the young Brazilian.

Both clubs are said to be monitoring Estevao’s situation at Stamford Bridge in case his lack of minutes opens the door to a move in the future.

For now, there is no indication that the player is looking to leave London immediately, but his development under Xabi Alonso will be decisive.

Chelsea still trust in his potential

Despite his loss of prominence, Chelsea are not believed to have changed their assessment of Estevao. The club believes the Brazilian still has the potential needed to become a world-class star.

Therefore, any possible departure would depend on all parties believing that the time is right.

Meanwhile, Barcelona and Liverpool remain attentive, waiting to see whether Estevao regains his prominence or whether his situation ends up creating an opportunity in the European market.
